MRC funding opportunity –Expression of interest: Adolescent Health Study call for study sites – UKRI – is now open on UKRI funding finder
The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) will be a new longitudinal population study and data platform, focusing on the critical biological and social developments that occur during adolescence. It aims to recruit 100,000 young people aged 8-18 years at enrollment, primarily through schools, and will follow their health and well-being for a period of 12 years (two year pilot plus 10 year main phase). £30M of UKRI funding is available (at 80% full economic cost (FEC)) to support 4-7 study sites across the UK.
The Expressions of Interest (EoI) opportunity closes on the 4th December at 4:00pm. The main funding opportunity is expected to open in early 2024. EoI application forms (found in the ‘Additional info’ section of the funding finder page) should not exceed three pages and should be submitted by email to AHS@mrc.ukri.org. Where appropriate, MRC may encourage regional consortia development following the EoI stage.
